A visit in the National gallery of Athens

In Peru, the workshops are based on themes.

Each month the topic changes and during the course we delve deeper, study, learn, experiment and do collective projects.

Themes often are repeated , as there is always room for more knowledge and further creation.

The workshops are for everyone. Even if it is the first time you are holding a pencil, a pastel or a brush in your hand, you should come.

You never know what is going to happen, you just give it a try.

The classes are for all ages and all levels.

In the adults workshops there is mainly life drawing and painting sessions ( yes, even for you, the one who has never done this before).

The pose and composition are shaped according the artist we approach each time and her/his oeuvre.

The pose is being repeated at least twice a week , with a different model each day, so that everyone interested has a chance to participate.

In this sort of theatrical scenery and atmosphere that is created, we express ourselves freely , think deeper and closer to the artists and their artwork.

Twice a week there is a more theoretical approach of the the oeuvre , the personality and life of the discussed artists, with a related simple drawing exercise-game. Both days have the same content , again for all interested to be able to join.

This is the first part of each workshhop.

The second part is the life drawing-painting day, of your choice.

Our themes derive from all fields of art and are expressed through them. Litterature, music, dance, cinema, theater , they all meet in Peru and their people share their secrets, their love and devotion for them.

We love cinema and its special relation with painting. So, there is one day specially devoted to this.

Most important is to discuss, think more profoundly and sphearically about the human and not only the artwork, the time and social and political conditions she or he lived in, how those factors influnced her/his work and life.

We dive deeper into the artist’s soul,mind and creative process with drawing exercises and experiments, exploring ways to unlock our own creative persona

Certain days of the week the space is open in extended hours, for free expression inspired from the current theme and compositions.

You can chose from one day a week to full week participation, costs are shaped accordingly, montlhy or one-off.

All children are artists. Along the way, some forget it. Together we will help them remember.
