Fire Tech & Safety invites you to H.O.T TOBER a Free firefighter training seminar featuring hands-on instruction and product demonstrations. This event is designed to help firefighters build confidence, sharpen their skills, and train in real-world scenarios under the guidance of industry experts.

Training Options

Participants may register for either Hands-On Training or Observation & Demonstrations tickets. Hands-On Training tickets are for the morning H.O.T classes. The observation tickets are for afternoon demonstrations and free time. Lunch is included in both, H.O.T students may also stay for the afternoon demonstrations without an additional ticket.

Live Fire with Thermal Imaging & RIT

Experience a full fire attack scenario using thermal imaging cameras to locate the fire path, identify the seat of the fire, and extinguish the flames. Once the fire is knocked down, participants will transition into a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) drill, simulating the rescue of a downed firefighter.

(Requires full PPE and fit-tested SCBA — participants must arrive by 8:00 AM for fit testing.)

Water Flow & Hose Management

Master the finer points of hose and nozzle handling and explore new waterflow technology. This station covers water movement, nozzle control, and techniques to improve hose management in demanding fireground conditions.

(Full PPE required — auto extrication PPE permitted.)

Advanced Auto Extrication

Work hands-on with modern vehicles to learn advanced extrication techniques for removing trapped victims from motor vehicle accidents. This station focuses on modern tools, methods, and strategies to improve speed and efficiency on the scene.

(Full PPE required — auto extrication PPE permitted.)

Simulating a second-floor entrapment, firefighters will use CMC bailout kits to perform an emergency egress drill from a multi-floor structure. Learn safe, effective bailout techniques designed to save lives in critical situations.
