How to pay for Eventbrite tickets with SEPA direct debit

Events in Germany and sometimes elsewhere may allow you to pay via SEPA Direct Debit. To get started, just select SEPA Direct Debit from the "Payment Method" drop-down menu. You'll see the charge on your bank statement within 2 business days if your bank account is in Germany or Austria. With accounts in other SEPA countries it can take up to 6 business days.

  • 1. Select "Register" / "Order Now" on the event page.
  • 2. Select "SEPA Direct Debit" from the Payment Methods drop-down menu.
  • 3. Enter your payment details and complete the registration.
  • 4. Optional: Access your order mandates.

1. Select "Register" / "Order Now" on the event page.

Choose the number of tickets you want and select "Register" or "Order Now."

TIP: On the desktop and tablet version of an event listing you'll see the blue and yellow SEPA symbol next to the Register button, when SEPA is available.

2. Select "SEPA Direct Debit" from the Payment Methods drop-down menu.

On the order form click on "Credit/Debit Card" next to Payment Method and select "SEPA Direct Debit" from the drop-down menu.

NOTE: If SEPA Direct Debit is not available, you'll have other payment options, (depending on the event), such as credit or debit card, SOFORT bank transfer (Germany and Austria only), iDEAL bank transfer (Netherlands only), PayPal, or an offline payment method. If none of the available payment methods work for you, feel free to contact the organizer directly.

3. Enter your payment details and complete the registration.

Enter all required fields, including your IBAN, and finish the registration. The IBAN is a global standard that identifies your bank account. To find out your IBAN, check your bank's website or contact your bank.

After registering, you’ll receive an order confirmation to the email address you provided.

Your bank account will be charged within 2 business days if the account is in Germany or Austria and within 6 business days if it is in another SEPA-supporting country.

TIP: Purchases where the cardholder’s issuing bank and acquirer bank are located in the EEA (minus countries with delays) are subject to SCA with 3DS2.0. Purchasers have to complete the authentication requirement for the issuing bank to purchase tickets. The authentication process is determined by the issuing bank.

NOTE: If you have any issues during the registration process, you can troubleshoot problems with SEPA Direct Debit payments.

4. Optional: Access your order mandates.

If you need to access your mandates, log in to your account, locate your order on the Tickets page and click on your order. Then go to "View SEPA Mandate".

TIP: A mandate is signed by the debtor (you as the ticket-buyer) to authorize the creditor (the organizer) to collect a payment and to instruct the debtor's bank to pay those collections.
