Dale Power, Share Your Courage
We experience many transitions in our lives.
If the transition is abrupt and unexpected, or even if it is, it's easy to slide into conventional thinking about our options. There is no road map for life changes.
This is especially true for retirement.
We plan our finances and sometimes our endings (as in creating a will) - but the rest? Not so much.
Many of us think that the free time that opens up will be filled with travel, grandkids, and the things we enjoy but didn't have enough time for while working.
There is space right after a change that isn't yet filled with activity or people. It is like a canvas waiting to be filled up with the things we most value, love, and are energized by. We can look at it as an adventure to create the most brilliant chapter of our lives....or we can settle for what everyone tells us is true.
Your life is made up of many of your choices. Make sure you know how rich those choices are!
