Water and Rock
I graduated from Falmouth University in 2005 and started a successful art career and gallery business in Bristol. I've been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Between 2022 and 2024 I undertook my first 250- hour yoga teacher training at Yogasara in Bristol, accredited by YAP. I'm currently studying for the 300- hour advanced yoga teacher training offered by Yogasara 2025-2026, about to complete in early 2026. I've taught at Yogasara, Bristol University, online and in Greece. I have undertaken many trainings in trauma, Non-Violent Communication and have a trauma- informed approach to teaching yoga. I have has also undertaken significant study into transpersonal theory: spirituality and psychology. I practise meditation daily under Will Evans, who takes Advaita Vedanta, Non- dual Shaiva Tantra and Buddhist non- dual approaches.
The Yogasara method that Abigail has studied under comprises asana (posture) practice in a Krama Vinyasana style (krama meaning step-by-step and vinyasa being a flow state within postural practice), as well as the other foundational aspects of yoga practice and ritual: meditation, devotional practice, breathwork, intellectual study (yogic philosphy, transpersonal psychology), chanting mantra, conscious dance, science (anatomy, neuroscience, Myofascial Integration) and emotional integration. I am interested in how yoga can aid us personally, but also aid with wider ecological and social issues and with building community. I have a personal interest/ specialization in gender and LGBTQ+ issues.
