Unhappy Endings Film Society is a community of film lovers in New York who gather in living rooms and small spaces to watch movies that leave an impression and invite conversation. We are less about perfect happy endings and more about the stories that stay with us, unsettle us, or open new perspectives.
Our meetings are intimate and welcoming. Each gathering centers on a film followed by discussion — sometimes casual, sometimes analytical, always thoughtful. We believe cinema is best experienced together, where every viewpoint enriches the conversation.
We are also food lovers, and we encourage the sharing of snacks and tastes as part of the experience. More than a film club, this is a space to connect with others, discover new films, and create community through stories, conversation, and the table we share.
