Daniel LaFontaine
NEW ACCOUNT: Daniel LaFontaine began producing events for different institutions post-COVID. His specialization was medium to large-scale comedy shows in Northern, Central, and Southern Pennsylvania (NEPA, Bethlehem, and Philadelphia areas). LaFontaine regularly produced for Lehigh University, Don't Tell Comedy, and the SteelStacks at ArtsQuest. After cultivating production experience, he relocated to Long Island, New York, where he was born and raised. Since then, LaFontaine has diversified his event production portfolio to weddings, speed-dating, and independent comedy shows.
LaFontaine's overarching mission is to unite individuals and encourage connection. He has always suggested that the best way to do this is to "put everyone in a room, lock the door, and make sure there's good music or something to talk about, that's all you need... and sangria-- that helps too."
LaFontaine shared that as a boy, his family hosted large parties where everyone would see each other, and as time went on, everyone seemed to go their separate ways, and the parties stopped. He said seeing everybody grow apart made him want to pull them closer. This innate desire was so strong, it began to extend into his professional life. "I realized that through producing live events, I can make that positive change in people's lives," he said, "so in the wise words of Pitbull, 'que no pare la fiesta -- don't stop the party.'"
If he's not producing shows, you might spot LaFontaine running down the streets of Long Island, as the only thing more important to him than getting wine-drunk on a Tuesday night is his heart health.
