Sophia (EIC)

Hi, I'm Sophia Considine, and I came up with the idea for "the little things" in June of 2025. I had been on staff for many literary magazines during my time at the University of Iowa, and after graduating, I wanted to bring something new to the literary space online. One of my favorite poems from earthwords 44 was "To Cold Cut Sandwiches", which practices gratitude and showcases the little things, like cold sandwiches outside at a picnic. This was where my inspiration for this magazine began—I hope to highlight all of the little things in life, whatever that means to you.​
