EDIDA Awareness Month 2026

We are proud to recognize and celebrate Black History Month 2025 at Western University. We are excited to bring engaging and informative events to the campus community that foster education, understanding and inclusion.

Western University’s Black History Month 2026 theme of Black Joy, Glory and Reclamation reflects on the depth, strength and brilliance of Black life across generations, honouring healing, truth and the undeniable legacy and futures of Black individuals.

Join us for our EDI Welcomes and learn how you can thrive at Western! Make new friends, engage with resources and celebrate your identity at our Black, 2SLGBTQIA+ and Muslim Student Welcomes.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization, and Accessibility (EDIDA) Awareness Month 2025 is a bold, collaborative initiative hosted in collaboration with community partners. The theme for 2025 is I.M.P.A.C.T.: Mobilizing Equity for Sustainable Change.

EDIDA Awareness Month 2024 is a collaboration between Western University, the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Huron University at Western, King’s University College, Fanshawe College and London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).
